Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) is an American actress. In the film and television industry, she is known for her many nominations and awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and fostered by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett decided to be an actor after watching the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. In the year 1980, Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980. Graduate of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main roles as Ramonda in the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
